JMS awards prizes each year to recognise noteworthy contributions to the journal.
Mike Wright Prize for Best JMS Reviewer
Mike Wright made a huge contribution to JMS as an author, reviewer and editor, to SAMS as trustee, Treasurer and Chair, and to the management studies community as a whole. After his passing in 2019 it seemed fitting that we institute a prize in his memory in recognition of his contributions. Therefore the former Best Reviewer Prize has now been renamed the Mike Wright Prize for Best JMS Reviewer and has a cash prize of £1,000 GBP associated with it. It is awarded to the reviewer in recognition of their contribution to the development of papers at JMS in the past year. The quality and number of reviews undertaken by each reviewer for JMS are the main criteria considered for this award.
